1st shift: Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:00 pm.

Key Activities/Responsibilities:
  • Participate on/help facilitate site safety committee meetings and actions.
  • Participate in/complete risk assessments and JSP’s as assigned by site HSE (Process, Behavior, PPE, etc.).
  • Complete various site HSE floor activities/inspections as assigned by site HSE. Examples include, but are not limited to:
    • Spill Control/Storm Water Pollution inspections.
    • Hazardous/Universal Waste Storage area maintenance, transportation, and inspections (Satellite and Accumulation Storage locations).
    • Fire Extinguisher/Emergency Exit/Emergency Lighting inspections.
    • Eye wash/shower stations inspections.
    • First Aid/AED stations maintenance and inspection.
    • Spill Kit supply maintenance and inspections.
    • Emergency response drills.
    • Annual audiometric testing coordination.
    • Secondary container labeling (GHS/HAZCOM) audits.
    • Lockout Tagout procedure audits/edits.
    • LPA Safety Audits.
    • Implement safe start and other safe start activities.
    • Maintain Environmental tracking.
    • Train and manage Irradiation department and be able to obtain an RSO certification.
    • Other Site HSE/BBS audits.
  • Assist HSE and safety committee in investigations of employee accidents/near miss reporting and documenting in incident reporting database.
  • Assist with maintaining floor waste/scrap locations, transportation, and logs/HSEDM reporting.
  • Participate in New Hire Safety Orientation sections as assigned by site HSE.
  • Assist HSE related floor toolbox shares/refresher trainings with employees and log training records.
  • Participate in/reinforce Consequence Thinking/Zero & Beyond training.
  • Conduct forklift training/re-certification for site employees as needed.
  • Assist with maintaining HSE information on TIER Boards.
  • Assist site HSE with ISO 1400 & 45001 initiatives.
  • Other various HSE related activities as assigned by site HSE.

Requirement(s):
  • Production floor experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Forklift Operator experience.
  • Passion for safety.
  • Experience training other operators.
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience working in EHS.
